In the secondary packaging segment, IWK will be showcasing the latest generation of horizontal cartoner platforms for the first time at interpack 2026. At the leading trade fair, the CH4 cartoning system packs injection pens in sturdy cardboard trays, which are automatically inserted into folding cartons. The folding box and tray are produced by the partner Kartonveredelung Knapp.
The CH platform combines precise carton positioning with high flexibility and energy efficiency: an innovative recuperation system in the servo drive significantly reduces energy consumption by up to 21%. The linear process layout enables fast, reproducible and tool-free format changes. Thanks to its modular design, the platform is particularly future-oriented and is suitable for a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and non-food.
With the platform, IWK offers safe, reliable product handling in continuous or intermittent product feeding. The modular machine design of the CH4 enables fast format changes and precise adaptation to different product configurations. Gentle folding carton transport using timing belt belts and precise 4-level positioning ensure folding carton transport on the CH4 and ensure scratch-free, undamaged packaging from the first to the last step.
